WALK AROUND

Snug Harbor is a one-stop spot for all your lunchtime errands. There’s a post office, a flower shop, an antique store and a Talbots store. As long as the weather is good, you can enjoy the waterfront property near the town pier.

CHECK IT OUT

The village of Snug Harbor, though small, offers two great locales for delicious lunches. Snug Harbor Fish Company, open all year, has outdoor seating in good weather, and a multitude of take-out meal options.

The restaurant cooks all of its food fresh daily and offers specials like Mexican seafood stew. Try the most popular dish, a swordfish sandwich, or stick with a New England classic like a stuffed quahog or a pint of steamers.

QUICK BITES

If you’re not in the mood for seafood or would like a post-lunch sweet treat, visit the French Memories Bakery, which offers an assortment of cookies and pastries, and in the summer, ice cream and fruit smoothies. On the way to Snug Harbor you could stop at Duxbury Pizza or the Duxbury Deli in nearby Hall’s Corner, or at the Benchwarmer Sub Shop on St. George Street, off Route 3A.

RELAX

Summer is a busy time in Snug Harbor, with the Duxbury Bay Maritime School offering sailing lessons on the water behind the area’s businesses. After getting lunch, savor the last few weeks of summer and lounge on one of the benches that face Duxbury Bay.
