But there is a catch.
You must bring your own skates because the rink won't lend you a pair.
The free public ice time, which is wedged between the skating lessons and hockey practices held at the rink, gives you a chance to try skating again, even if you haven't done it for years.

CHECK IT OUT:
The Rockland Ice Rink is at 599 Summer St., a short drive from Hanover, Hanson, Abington and downtown Rockland.
QUICK BITES:
On the way there, you can pick up lunch at one of
the many
restaurants along Route 139 in Rockland. Or bring a bag lunch to enjoy
before or after your time on the ice.
RELAX:
After skating, play a game of pinball at the back corner of the rink. Or sit back and watch figure skaters and hockey players show off their skills as you massage your aching feet.
THE SKINNY
Ice skating doesn't have to be
strictly a winter activity, and it shouldn't be just for kids and
hockey players. Why should they have all the fun?
