BIO: Sherrill grew up in Canton and graduated from Canton High School in 1985. She earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Fitchburg State University. After graduation, Sherrill was an in-house fitness trainer for Boston corporations. Her father, James, was a career police officer and retired from the State Police. He talked up the job to his five sons, but not to his two daughters. None of the sons became officers, but his youngest girl, Patty, joined her hometown police department 14 years ago. She is married and has two daughters, a 4-month-old and a 2-year old.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? One of Charlie’s Angels
What would you have been if not a police officer? A corporate fitness trainer
Best advice you ever got: “If it’s meant to be it’s up to me.”
