BIO: Born in Quincy, Lincoln grew up in Whitman and graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Westfield State College, taking a year off to join the Army Reserve. After she joined the Plymouth force, her Army unit was called up and she spent a year in Iraq. Her younger sister is Whitman’s new police chief. Lincoln is married and has two children, 11 and 7.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? "I always wanted to be a police officer. I’m not sure why. I think it was the excitement of the job.”
What would you have been if not a police officer? “I probably would have been a lawyer. I spent some time as a paralegal, but I
didn’t want to sit behind a desk. I wanted a more active job.”
Best advice you ever got: "The biggest part of the job is how you talk to people. Treat them the way you’d want your mother, brother or sister treated and you’ll never have any trouble.”

What do you do in your time off: "I play on two women’s soccer teams, coach basketball at Sacred Heart High School and spend the rest of my time watching my children’s sporting activities."
