AGE: 32
HIRED IN HINGHAM: As a full-time firefighter in 2001
BIO: Becker grew up in Hanover and graduated from Hanover High School in 1993. He attended Nichols College in Dudley and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in management, in 1997. While in college, Becker was a call firefighter for the town of Dudley and served in the campus fire department. After college, he continued as a call firefighter while working for an insurance company. He also worked as a campus police officer before attending paramedic school. After paramedic school, he want to work for Webster EMS in Webster. He returned to the South Shore in 2001 to join the Hingham Fire Department. He and his wife, Lauren, have two children, Kerstyn, 5, and Anderson, 20 months.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A firefighter
What would you have been if not a firefighter? Probably a paramedic
Best advice you ever got: Always work hard, but always remember to make time for family

What do you do in your time off: Spend time with wife and children; watch the Patriots, Red Sox and Bruins; listen to country music
