BIO: O’Shea grew up in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School. He lived in town for 30 years before a recent move. O’Shea attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received a bachelor’s degree in English in 1997. He has always been interested in social work and sees being a police officer as a variation of that vocation. He has been married for two years to Amanda, a Scituate police officer.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? An FBI agent

What would you have been if not a police officer? Maybe a teacher

Best advice you ever got: “As a police officer, treat people like you’d want your family to be treated.”

What do you do in your spare time? Spend time outdoors, go mountain biking and white-water rafting, and spend time with my wife and family.
