“I do uniform patrol, responding to 911 calls for service.”

“We try and identify the small number of people that cause the majority of problems in town, be it drugs or break-ins, and pass that information over to our detectives.”

BIO: Want grew up in Braintree and attended Braintree High School. He graduated from Northeastern University before joining the Boston police force.

What would you have been if not a police officer? A teacher or an electrician. “My father was an electrician, so I could have followed him.”

Best advice you ever got: “The value of a good reputation. It affects how you are judged by your peers and the community.”

What do you do in your time off? Want spends most of his free time with his wife and 4-year-old son.
