BIO: Craig grew up in Hyde Park and is the daughter of Polish immigrants. After graduating from Hyde Park High School in 1984, she went to work as a teller for State Street Bank. She was promoted to a manager in the retirees service department. She became interested in police work when a sister-in-law talked about taking the Civil Service exam. Craig said she also attended a citizens’ police academy in Milton with her ex-husband. She joined the Milton force and earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Curry College. Craig was recently appointed the department’s elder affairs officer and is one of the officers who patrols East Milton Square by bicycle in the spring, winter and fall.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A journalist
Best advice you ever got: “Always respect others, always respect yourself, and try to give back whenever you can.”

What do you do in your spare time? Travel and spend time with family and friends. “When I have spare time, it’s family time.”
