Mike Roy badgeBIO: Roy was born in Boston and spent summers in Plymouth before the family moved to Plymouth permanently. He went to Plymouth schools and graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School. He was a commercial and construction diver and ran the family's hardware store, South Plymouth Hardware, for 20 years before becoming a firefighter. He and his wife, Judy, have three children, Caitlin, 24, Michael 22, and Stephanie, 18.

What did you want to be when you were a kid?A diver

Best advice you ever got: "Always improve your area and follow the golden rule."

What do you do in your spare time? Surf, go diving, play hockey on Sunday nights.
