"One of the best memories on the job was five years ago when myself and two other firefighters got to deliver a baby girl in the back of the ambulance. "
"It's one of those things where every little boy growing up wants to be a firefighter. I kind of never grew out of it.

BIO: Hatch is finishing work toward an associate's degree in fire science at Massasoit Community College. He is a member of the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team and the Plymouth County Dive Team. He lives in Manomet with his wife of five years, Amy, his 3-year-old daughter, Allison, and his 1-month-old son, Patrick. His grandfather retired from the Boston Fire Department; an uncle is a lieutenant there. His brother Josh is with the Kingston Fire Department, and another uncle is a fire chief on the Cape.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? "This is what I wanted to do ever since I can remember."
Best advice you ever got: "Being a firefighter is not an easy job, and there are some days where you'll go home and feel like you don't want to come back, but there's always that thing inside that makes you want to come back for your next shift, and it's always worth it."

What do you do in your spare time? Yard work, "spend time with family and do dad things."
