BIO: McFadden was born and raised in Holbrook and went to Holbrook High School. He got an associate's degree from Massasoit Community College and a bachelor's degree from Anna Maria College in Paxton. He worked as an emergency medical technician for Fallon Ambulance Service for four years after high school. He has been married to his wife, Paula, for 10 years. They have three children, Aiden, 6, Cara, 5, and Brian, 1.

What would you have been if not a firefighter?"I can't think of anything else I'd rather do."

Best advice you ever got: "Don't sweat the small stuff" and "life isn't a dress rehearsal."

Person who gave it to you: "My father."

What do you do in your spare time? "Spend time with my family, play with the kids while they're young, and play the bagpipes with the area fire department pipe band."
