BIO: Ebert grew up in Pembroke and graduated from South Shore Vocational Technical High School. He received his EMT certification from the Plympton Fire Department and continued on to get his paramedic certification. He was first hired in Halifax but took the Kingston firefighter job to work in a busier department. He is married and lives in Hanson.
What did you want to be when you were a kid?"A firefighter. I have family members who are firefighters. After hearing their stories growing up, I decided it sounded like fun."
What would you have been if not a firefighter?"I would probably be working in construction."
Best advice you ever got: "Be generous."
Person who gave it to you: "I can't remember."
What do you do in your spare time?"Building my house and working takes up most of my time, but I like to play hockey, go snowmobiling, fish and spend time on the beach."
