"I just like being able to make a difference in someone's life. They're at their worst point, it's a terrible time for them and we show up."

"It's a small community. I've saved a few people, and you can see the same person down the street at the supermarket."

"You see the people you actually helped, rather than in a big city where you never see those people again. It's nice. We're pretty close knit group around here."

BIO: Grew up in Hingham and graduated from Hingham High School in 1995. Attended Massasoit Community College. Worked for Fallon Ambulance as a paramedic for 12 years. Now lives in Abington with his girlfriend.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? a fireman, but never thought he'd become one

What would you have been if not a firefighter? some sort of trade -- carpentry or masonry

Best advice you ever got: Family comes first, and look after your family.

What do you do in your spare time? He rides his motorcycle, fishes and works out at the gym.
