Occupation: Executive director and chief curator of the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton

Proudest Accomplishments

At this point in my career, turning this museum into a craft museum is my proudest accomplishment. Fuller Craft was one of many mid-sized community museums on the New England landscape, and to come in and turn it around, change its mission, change its brand, so that we are the only craft museum in New England is a huge accomplishment. It is the pinnacle of my career.

Perfect Day

My avocation and vocation are one in the same. On a Sunday when I’m not at the museum I’m enjoying some other art form - theater, dance, performance, or other museums - that’s usually a perfect day for me. It’s always more perfect if I’m with someone of the same mind-set.

Looking Forward

I am about to leave for Southeast Asia, strictly for pleasure. My other major interest is Asia, India, Africa, different cultures from my own and the people and art forms of those countries. I will be traveling to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. An added plus is I’m traveling with my daughter who lives in California.

Pass it on

I think one of the things that is important about me, and that I would like to pass on to my kids and anyone else, is a sense of curiosity.
