Occupation: Retired school teacher, who taught business subjects at Seakonk High School for 34 years, and longtime volunteer with the Miss Taunton organization.

Proudest Accomplishments
My greatest accomplishment is my family, my 36 years of teaching, and working with the Miss Taunton contestants. I'm known as “Auntie Joyce” to hundreds of young people for whom I have made dance costumes over the years.

Perfect Day
A perfect day would be to sleep in late, go to dinner at a nice restaurant, sit on the beach and have a quiet talk and coffee with my hubby, and time to relax.

Looking Forward
Now that I am retired I'm looking forward to traveling in our RV, helping our children in their businesses, watching our grandchildren grow up, and sharing time with family and friends.

Pass it on
I’d like to pass on my love of people and my love of Christmas lights and Christmas trees. I feel so happy and get excited when all the lights are lit. I take my grandchildren and friends all around to see them. I also love to decorate theme Christmas trees - I leave my tree up year-round.
