Ex-selectman, state senator in the running

WEYMOUTH – Former state Sen. Brian McDonald is officially in the race for one of five councilor-at-large seats.

The town clerk’s office Wednesday certified the signatures McDonald returned.

McDonald, a Church Street resident, is also a former selectman in Weymouth.

Five candidates out of 10 will be elected councilors-at-large in the Nov. 6 general election. Councilors Patrick O’Connor, Michael Molisse and Kevin Whitaker are running for re-election.
